Mark Weinfurter, ASW 124487

Associate Social Worker

Supervised by Elliott Alcala LCSW#74325

Mark believes that therapy should be a space where clients can pause, reflect, and reconnect with what matters most—without judgment, pressure, or pretense.

As an Associate Clinical Social Worker at Generational Wellness, Mark brings both clinical insight and grounded presence to the therapy room. With a background in residential and outpatient treatment for substance use, Mark has walked alongside individuals navigating some of life’s toughest challenges. His calm, compassionate approach offers clients the opportunity to explore their experiences with honesty, self-compassion, and renewed clarity.

Mark specializes in supporting individuals through grief and bereavement, substance-use recovery, and life transitions—especially in the critical phases of emerging adulthood or facing end-of-life issues. He uses evidence-based approaches such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Motivational Interviewing. His humanistic, client-centered philosophy prioritizes each client’s autonomy, insight, and lived wisdom.

Clients often describe Mark as thoughtful, approachable, and attuned to the broader context of their lives. He believes that every person benefits from having a space to reflect and be reminded of their resilience. His goal is to help clients feel empowered to live lives that are more aligned with their values and purpose.

When he’s not working with clients, Mark enjoys hiking, spending time with friends, and trying to make a dent in his ever-growing to-be-read list.
