Courtney Enokson, MFT-I
Marriage and Family Therapist - Intern
Therapist for children, adolescents & families
Courtney Enokson
Courtney Enokson is a clinical intern at Generational Wellness who is currently completing her master’s degree in Marriage, Family, and Child Counseling at the University of Phoenix. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Child Development from California State University, Chico. Before beginning her clinical training, Courtney gained experience working with children and families in school-based settings, including neurodivergent children and adolescents.
Courtney enjoys supporting children, adolescents, adults, and families as they navigate anxiety, trauma, life transitions, low self-esteem, emotional regulation challenges, and relationship concerns. She also has a particular interest in working with foster youth and neurodivergent clients. Her therapeutic style is warm, approachable, and down-to-earth, creating a space where clients can feel genuinely heard, accepted, and supported without judgment.
Courtney’s work is primarily grounded in Person-Centered Therapy. Depending on each client’s needs and goals, she also incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and family-systems concepts. She views therapy as a collaborative process and believes clients are the experts on their own lives. Together, Courtney and her clients identify strengths, explore challenges, and develop practical, individualized goals that feel both meaningful and achievable.
Courtney was inspired to become a therapist after experiencing the transformative benefits of therapy in her own life. That experience strengthened her desire to help others feel understood, develop effective coping strategies, and move through difficult seasons with greater confidence. She believes that when individuals heal, the benefits can extend into their relationships, families, and future generations.
Clients working with Courtney can expect compassionate listening balanced with practical tools and honest collaboration. Her goal is for clients to leave therapy feeling empowered, resilient, and better equipped to navigate life’s challenges long after therapy ends.
Outside of her clinical work, Courtney enjoys spending time with her husband and four children, practicing yoga and breathwork, organizing, crafting, and pursuing creative projects. She also loves flowers and operates a small build-your-own floral bouquet business for events.
